Welp, I sit corrected.

Hope you don’t mind a little wheelchair humor. I’m just trying to lighten up a fairly heavy situation.
Look, we’re a fully grassroots campaign in the most expensive part of the cycle, and our opponents are so unbelievably rich that buying an election is no different than you or me buying a pack of gum. They’re spending at least $100 million to buy this election.
So I knew it was possible that our expenses would outpace our fundraising in October.
However, I expected that with Election Day looming and more people getting more invested in this ultra-competitive tied Senate race, things would even out before the end of the month.
Unfortunately, I sit corrected.
The big expenses — statewide TV ad campaigns, mailers, phone banking, door-knocking operations, events — are draining our budget faster than small-dollar contributions are replenishing it.
I don’t want to enter the final week of this election running on fumes. It’ll make the task of reaching undecided and swing voters even harder than it already is.

Thanks,
Josh
