Where there’s a wheel, there’s a way! 🛞

When I launched my campaign for State House in 2022, no one thought I’d be able to win a deep red district that Trump went on to win.

But I’m a gold-medal athlete. I don’t give up that easily.

I believe when there’s a wheel, there’s a way.

When you think of Iowa, you probably imagine flat fields of corn as far as the eye can see. My neck of the woods is the exception. When I knocked on doors in Pottawattamie County, I had to clear a dozen porch steps at nearly every house.

I never got tired of the shock on people’s faces when they opened the door to me, sitting in my wheelchair.

They’d ask, “How in the world did you get up here?”

“I dragged myself up,” I’d tell them with a smile.

I adopted the same goal in this race: go everywhere, talk to everyone, and earn every vote I can, no matter how many flights of stairs it takes. It’s taken a lot of stairs. A lot of arm days.

Speaking of goals…Election Day is finally here, and we have hours left to win this race. Turning out those final voters before time runs out will be a push…
