Beautifully poetic

Everything I’ve accomplished in my life, from education to sports to public service, has been because of a great United States Senator from Iowa.

That senator is Tom Harkin, a man I consider my political hero, a personal friend, and a dedicated supporter of our campaign.

Senator Harkin is the father of the Americans with Disabilities Act, which gave me and so many other disabled Americans an on-ramp onto society. It represents the pinnacle of what one determined public servant can achieve.

His work opened doors for me as a kid, and his legacy later inspired me to enter public service. It’s been an honor to learn from him, knock doors together, and have his support throughout this campaign.

It will be beautifully poetic when we take back Senator Harkin’s seat today.

As Iowa’s next United States Senator, I’ll continue Senator Harkin’s prairie populist vision: fighting for the working class, small family farms, and the vast majority of Iowans who don’t have lobbyists on their payroll.
