I sit corrected, apparently.

Hope you don’t mind a little wheelchair humor. I’m just trying to lighten up a pretty heavy situation.
Look, we’re a fully grassroots campaign in the most expensive stretch of the election cycle. Our opponents are so unbelievably rich that buying an election is no different than you or me buying a pack of gum. They’re spending at least $100 million to buy this election.
So I knew it was possible that our expenses would outpace our fundraising in October.
However, I expected that with Election Day looming and more people getting more invested in this ultra-competitive tied Senate race, things would even out before the end-of-month deadline.
Unfortunately, I sit corrected.
The big expenses — statewide TV ad campaigns, mailers, phone banking, door-knocking operations, events — are draining our budget faster than small-dollar contributions are replenishing it.
I don’t want to be running on fumes in the final days of this election. With just hours left to close the budget gap, will you rush $10 or more to beef up our numbers before midnight?

Thanks,
Josh
